PreSchool - Grade 8
In the event of inclement weather or an emergency situation, an announcement for a school closing, morning delayed opening or early dismissal will be sent through the Rediker/AP Notify System. In addition, the announcement may be posted on the school Facebook page and/or may be included on the school’s phone voice system. The school is responsible for a family’s initial set-up in the Rediker system and will input one primary phone number for the family. Subsequently, each family is fully responsible for inputting and updating additional phone numbers, email and text contacts.
Contacting the home, parents at work or through email can only be effective if the school has current and correct contact information. It is, therefore, the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to notify the school office in writing of changes in address, phone numbers and email contacts. The school will not be able to contact parents/guardians in a timely manner if it is not aware of new and current contact information.
In the event of a delayed opening, school will begin 2 hours later than usual. For grades K-8, the cafeteria will be open and supervised beginning at 9:15am and morning prayers will begin at 9:40am. For all early childhood students, the early childhood entrance will be open and classrooms supervised beginning at 9:30am. Early childhood instruction will begin at 10am. Children that attend PreSchool or PreKindergarten for morning sessions only do not attend school on delayed opening days.
It is the parent's responsibility to be aware of changes in the bus schedule provided by the Parsippany-Troy Hills District Transportation Office on the mornings of delayed openings.
